Truth of a parable. You Decide

 Gereshom 31/05/12

Many a debate. No let me refraise that. Many a heated and sometimes, very heated discussions have taken place regarding this issue of when a day begins. There are pro's and con's in regard to both sides of the issue and both sides seem to have legitimate facts. Yet when we hold up this issue to scripture then only one issue should and must stand. How do we do that? It is very simple. We have to take whatever issues that we have and see if it lines up with scripture. The scripture mentioned here is both the old and new testaments. The old testament is known as the word of IEUE and the New testament is known as The Testimony of Ieuso or Yehshua. Some might not accept the new testament as scripture but according to Peter it was regarded as such.

And consider the long-suffering of our Master as salvation, as also our beloved brother Paul wrote to you, according to the wisdom given to him; as also in all his epistles, speaking in them concerning these things, in which some things are hard to understand, which those that are ignorant and unstable pervert their meaning, as also they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.

If the Apostles considered Shauls writings as highly important, then their writings are also important, as their writing supersede that of Paul’s. In otherwords, Paul’s writings have to be understood from that of the Apostles and of the old testament. We therefore have the old testament as foundation with the writings of the apostles based on the old testament and the writings of Paul based on the writings of the previous two. Paul’s writings should never be taken as foundational, rather, they should be viewed as building upon something that came before. It would make the teachings of Paul to be easier to understand.
